After earning degrees at Pfeiffer and Wake Forest Universities, Liv started her OOH journey working for an ad agency. After two years, she started at Adams Outdoor Advertising and by 2011 worked her way up to Regional Account Executive. Liv represented seventeen Adams markets across the United States.
Liv spent some time employed with Orange Barrel Media offering OOH messages in multiple US markets.
Most of us know Liv from her ten years at Camel City Posters as the Director of National Accounts. Liv was active and welcomed person in the IBO.

In yesterday’s Leave the Design to Professionals we talked about the problems which can result from new clients who insist on designing their own out of home ads. Liv Brown, Director of National Accounts at Camel City Poster Productions had this response.
Camel City offers design services for our clients, and of course we will print client provided art too. I have found many of my outdoor company’s customers are using CANVA to design. This product has been doing lot of advertising, so I think businesses see it as an affordable and easy way to be a designer, and they probably think they can save money.
My interpretation is that the product was geared more toward digital layouts as opposed to print. The customers struggle to get their ads in the correct size and resolution with the tools the program has. I’ve found a few ways to work around it using pixels, but it becomes a time consuming educational process each time, and slows down the order process, and so often their design is just ok, when it could be much more professionally done.
